●The E657 series is the star express train on the Joban Line that was introduced in 2011 as an AC/DC express train for the Joban Line.
In line with the Ibaraki Destination Campaign in 2023, the E657 series has been painted in the image of the old E653 series "Fresh Hitachi," attracting attention not only from people along the line but also from many railway fans. The actual train is available in a total of five colors, and the second installment of KATO's lineup will be the red-painted K12 train.
