JR's first new DC machine EF66 100 series
The EF66 100 series is a locomotive manufactured to enhance the freight transportation of JR cargo. In terms of performance, it follows the EF66 type 0 series, but the leading shape has been redesigned, and the paint color has also adopted the new standard color of JR cargo.
Following the eight 100-series primary cars, a secondary car appeared as an improved model in 1990. As for the appearance, changes such as the addition of a blue line on the hem of the car body and the conversion of the headlight to a square light can be seen.
We will commercialize the EF66 100 series, which is still active in the Fukida engine district, with the current appearance of the blue roof.
