●The DD51 is a diesel locomotive that represents the Japanese National Railways and was manufactured from 1962 onwards and was seen throughout Japan except for Shikoku. The 500 series was manufactured with a structure that allowed for multiple-unit overall control. The 7th to 11th series (501 to 592) did not have the function to perform single-valve overall brake control and were classified as "semi-multiple-unit type". Among them, the 7th to 9th series manufactured from 1965 to 1966 are characterized by a two-leaf front inspection door, a sloped straight step, an intermediate bogie without a brake device, and a 4,500-liter fuel tank. In addition to Hokkaido, they were also active in the Tohoku, Niigata and Sanin regions.
